About the project

The Credit Unions and Affordable Housing Webinar Series examined challenges within Canada’s housing market and the role credit unions can play in improving access to affordable housing. The three-part series brought together examples from the credit union sector and other organizations to share emerging financial products, programs, and housing models.

The challenge

Housing affordability remains a significant challenge for Canadians, creating a need for new approaches to financing, housing supply, and access to homeownership. The webinar series sought to increase understanding of these challenges while highlighting practical solutions being developed across the country.
