About the project

This project focused on developing a database to help communities navigate the funding, approvals and support available for sustainability projects. Working with community members from Harrington, Ontario, the research team created a resource designed to make sustainability initiatives more accessible and easier to implement.

The challenge

Municipalities and communities interested in reducing greenhouse gas emissions often face challenges identifying available funding sources, approval requirements and implementation pathways. The volume of information can make it difficult to determine where to begin and how to move projects forward.
