About the project

This research explored gender disparities within the financial planning profession, focusing on the factors that influence career entry, advancement and professional success. By reviewing Canadian and international research, the project sought to better understand the challenges and opportunities affecting workforce participation and leadership representation.

The challenge

Although financial planning offers significant career opportunities, barriers related to workplace culture, career progression and professional access continue to affect representation within the profession. The project aimed to identify both structural and perceived obstacles that may influence career development and advancement.
