Alla Darwish received a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Waterloo, and an MBA from Lazaridis School of Business and Economics.

Alla has a successful track record of start-up company generation, scale-up, and technology transfer. Inventor on 12 patents, Alla has a passion for supporting the commercialization of novel technologies and making an impact locally and nationally.

Alla has played a key role in fundraising (series A&B), IPO, licensing, and acquisition for a number of successful start-ups and brings expertise in IP strategy, due diligence, and market research.

Most recently, Alla was engaged in technology transfer at Ontario Tech University when he led the creation of processes for IP disclosure, assessment, and commercialization to better streamline and increase IP capacity at the University.
