Anthony Piscitelli, PhD
Director, Conestoga Social Innovation Lab
Anthony is the director of the Conestoga Social Innovation and holds a doctorate is in geography and masters in political science, both from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is certified as an institute of corporate directors, director, an accredited Canadian credit union director, and a certified municipal manager level 3.
Anthony is also currently serving as the chair of the board of Your Neighbourhood Credit Union and a director for the Directors’ Forum Co-operative.
In addition to his role as a professor and coordinator in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies he is also leading a SSHRC-funded project supporting the launch of Union: Sustainable Development Co-operative, a community-owned affordable rental housing provider.
His other research interests include board governance, public opinion, and social finance. Before becoming a professor, he spent fifteen years working in government and the non-profit sector.
