Larissa Brenneman is a junior researcher at the Canadian Institute for Safety, Wellness & Performance.
She holds a bachelor of applied health information science from Conestoga College, where she honed her skills in data management, statistical analysis, and health technology integration.
Larissa’s previous experience as a data analyst and research assistant focused on the biomechanical effects of overhead work on the upper extremities, and supported the validation of upper-body exoskeletons and inertial measurement units in estimating overhead postures.
Building on this work, Larissa is interested in validating personal protective equipment to enhance comfort and functionality by ensuring engineered solutions meet the unique and real-world demands of all members of the skilled trades.
