Ryan Deschamps, PhD

Professor

Ryan Deschamps, PhD, is a professor of computer science in the department of Applied Computer Science & IT, teaching in data science and other related fields.

He has over 15 years of experience working in technological and administrative roles in public libraries, four years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Waterloo and most recently an ocean data manager at the Canadian Integrated Ocean Observing System. 

He has a PhD in public policy with an emphasis on IT governance, social network analysis, and computational social science.
