How we work
Entrepreneurship is bigger than startups
Entrepreneurship is about creating value, and that happens in many ways. It can mean launching a venture, building a freelance business, creating your own path through self-employment, or developing the skills to generate revenue and drive growth within an innovative company. We create practical pathways that help people find their place in the innovation economy and contribute in ways that match their strengths, ambitions, and goals.
We learn by doing
Entrepreneurship doesn't happen from the sidelines. Our programs are built around action: testing ideas, engaging with customers, solving problems, developing capabilities, and putting ideas into practice. We move quickly, learn from what happens, and focus our energy where it can make a difference.
People come before the path
There is no single profile of an entrepreneur, and no single route into the innovation economy. We look beyond credentials and conventional definitions of success to recognize potential, build confidence, and help people find the pathway that fits their strengths, goals, and ambitions.
Opportunity is everywhere
Great opportunities can start with a student idea, a customer problem, an industry challenge, an emerging technology, or a changing market. We connect Conestoga talent with the needs and possibilities of the innovation economy, creating space for ideas and opportunity to meet.
No one builds alone
Entrepreneurship is built through relationships. Coaches, mentors, industry professionals, alumni, faculty, and ecosystem partners bring knowledge, perspective, connections, and opportunities that help people move forward. We believe a strong entrepreneurial community makes everyone more capable of creating something meaningful.
The people behind the collective
The Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective is led by a small team dedicated to advancing entrepreneurship and innovation across Conestoga. We design and deliver practical programs, build strategic partnerships, and connect people across the entrepreneurship ecosystem to create opportunities for students and alumni.
Our work spans venture creation, freelance entrepreneurship, and professional sales, bringing together the people, resources, and connections that help turn possibility into action.
Powered by a connected ecosystem
Entrepreneurship is built through community. The CEC is powered by coaches, mentors, industry professionals, government partners, and community organizations that share their expertise, connections, and opportunities to help students and alumni turn ideas into action. Together, we strengthen the connections between talent, ideas, industry, and opportunity across Conestoga and the broader innovation ecosystem.
