The Sales Lab is a free, 15-week career-launch program designed to help individuals with an aptitude for sales build in-demand skills, connect with employers, and start successful sales careers. 

The program was created to address real industry hiring needs and is designed in close consultation with employers to focus on the most critical skills, attitudes, and behaviours required for success in sales today. 

The Sales Lab is the only incubator in Canada dedicated to launching sales careers. 

The program is offered through two focused streams, Sales Lab for Tech and Sales Lab for Industry allowing participants to pursue B2B sales careers aligned with their interests and industry goals.

Sales Lab for Tech

Launch a career in tech sales 

The Sales Lab for Tech helps participants leverage an aptitude for sales to upskill and gain access to the lucrative tech sales industry. This 15-week program was created to address strong industry demand for tech sales talent and has been designed in consultation with technology companies. 

This stream focuses on developing the skills, attitudes, and behaviours needed to succeed in fast-paced B2B technology sales environments. 

This program has been designed with a clear goal: to develop confident, capable, and sales-ready professionals who can create value from day one in modern tech sales roles.

Sales Lab for Industry  

Launch a career in professional sales 

The Sales Lab for Industry helps participants build the skills needed to pursue sales careers across established and growth-oriented sectors, including manufacturing, construction, professional services, logistics, and industrial markets.  

This program is funded by a generous donation from the RBC Foundation as part of RBC’s Future Launch initiative. 

This 15-week program focuses on practical, relationship-driven sales skills and was designed in consultation with industry partners to address the sustained demand for sales talent beyond the tech sector.  

This program has been designed with one goal in mind — to develop confident, capable, and sales-ready professionals who can add value quickly and grow into high-performing sales roles.

Eligibility:

  • Conestoga students – full-time and part-time  
  • Current students must be in their last semester of school and ready to accept a full-time job by the end of the program 
  • Conestoga alumni
